The questions we’d ask too.

Everything about Pebble, gold, trust and product. Can’t find your answer? Just ask.

About Pebble & getting started

A community-first investing platform being built in Pakistan. When we launch, you’ll be able to buy and hold real, physically backed gold, starting from almost nothing, and sell it back to cash anytime. Right now we’re building it in the open.

Your gold: what it is and where it’s kept

Yes, it’s real, physically backed gold, not just a number in an app. You’re buying PMEX milli tola gold contracts, backed by physical gold held in a secure, PMEX-approved vault at the exchange. Your holdings are shown in grams and tola, and you can cross-check the underlying contract with PMEX.

Buying, selling & withdrawing

Yes, that’s exactly how Pebble is built. You can make small, regular purchases of real gold each month. If a month is tight, you can skip it: the habit survives a skip, and you’re never locked in.

Why gold

Gold is a simple, familiar store of value, and you can start tiny. Over long periods it has broadly held its worth against inflation. It’s not better than everything and it earns no income, but for a first step it’s simple. Gold’s price moves daily and can go down; its record is about long periods, not months.

Pebble vs a gold fund

Meezan Gold Fund sources its physical gold from PMEX, the same custody vaults Pebble uses. The difference is the wrapper. With Pebble you buy PMEX milli tola gold contracts, so your holding is gold held for you in your account. With the fund you buy units of a managed mutual fund that holds the gold; your holding is a net asset value per unit, not grams of gold.

Costs

We haven’t finalised the fee structure yet, so we won’t quote a number we might change. When it’s set, we’ll spell out every charge plainly before you ever pay it. No surprises, no fine print.
